Abstract
This paper will explore the ethical issues of privacy as it relates to computer use or more specifically, the Internet. The information for this paper will be gleaned through books on computer ethics and priv acy, Internet web sites as well as through personal experience. This paper will explore the social and legal aspects ofInternet privacy by examining various real-life cases where Internet privacy was perceived to have been breached. In addition, it will showcase the issues of privacy from two sides: from the perspective of ordinary private citizens and from government agencies and marketing companies who feel that they have the right to such information.
